Vic Pascucci III

Vic is the Managing Partner of Lightbank. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and began his professional career in Chicago in 1994. Vic has over 17 years of experience in venture capital, fintech investing and financial services. He has been a part of over $650M in venture capital and M&A transactions. Vic has taken multiple companies public and through successful acquisitions.  Vic currently serves on the boards of Extend, BluePrint, Clearcover, Snapsheet,, Sprout Social, Fooda, Paladin Cyber, Hireology, Ionic, Hatch Loyalty, Benchprep, Udemy, NuBundle and Billtrim.  Vic is also an advisor to the TechStars Chicago, Chicago Blockchain Center, Currency, 1871 and Fintech 71.  He supports a broad array of financial services innovation efforts. Within the Chicago civic tech community Vic is a member of the executive team for P33 Finance Committee and ChicagoNEXT.   

Prior to Lightbank, Vic built and managed USAA’s $330 million corporate venture capital program where he led investments in fintech (insurtech, banking, investment management), consumer internet, enterprise technologies and digital capabilities. He also had responsibility for the company’s M&A, joint ventures and intellectual property transactions. Most recently, Vic was a Partner with Munich Re | HSB Ventures where he led their investment activities in insurtech.  At MunichRe | HSB, investments Vic led included Trov, Super, Slice and Next Insurance.

Investments Vic has led and boards he has served on include: Snapsheet, Narrative Science, TRUECar (NASDAQ: TRUE), (NYSE: CRCM),, Automatic Labs (acquired by SiriusXM), Prosper Marketplace, Personal Capital, Coinbase, MX, Roost, Cartera Commerce (acquired by EBates), Roostify, RepairPal, Saffron Technologies (acquired by Intel Corp), CafeX, MindMeld (acquired by Cisco), VAST, Super, trov and Slice. Prior to financial services, Vic’s background includes Chicago start-ups and leadership position in law.

Vic has consulted to numerous financial services companies and venture capital firms on their fintech/insurtech investments as well as broader strategic initiatives. He has served as chairman of the National Venture Capital Association’s (NVCA) Education Committee for the Corporate Venture Group and served on the Board of Advisor’s for the NVCA. Vic has been featured in Andrew Roman’s best-selling book, The Masters of Corporate Venture Capital. He is also a TedX speaker and regular participant on Insurtech and Fintech discussion panels.
